HAIR + ACCESSORIES
Dancers must purchase their own dance bag and supplies. Be sure to label all belongings so that we can return them if they are ever left at the Studio!
HAIR REQUIREMENTS
All GDS classes require a high bun or high ponytail (hair tie, pins and a hairnet for Ballet). Dancers are expected to be fully prepared with their own supplies before entering class. GDS will not provide hair ties, pins, etc.. to any dancers who arrive without their hair supplies. A hair kit will need to be purchased from GDS for a fee.
BALLET
Hair must be pulled back in a neat high bun (at crown of head), complete with bobby pins and a hair net. Bun kits may be purchased at Beam & Barre or other convenience stores (CVS, Walgreens, etc..).
JAZZ / HIP HOP / MODERN / LYRICAL / CONTEMPORARY
Hair must be pulled back in a neat high ponytail. Hair supplies may be purchased at convenience stores (CVS, Walgreens, etc..). Dancers should stock their dance bags with plenty of supplies, including hair brush, elastics, etc…
ACCESSORIES + ESSENTIALS
DANCE BAGS
Please be sure to bring a designated dance bag to every class (anything works!). Pack shoes, extra hair supplies, water bottle, band-aids, Advil etc…Students are responsible to bring their own supplies to best be prepared for class each week.
WATER BOTTLES
Dancers, please bring your own water bottle to each class! We have a water fountain available at the Studio for refills, and be sure to label your bottles!
NO JEWELRY
For student safety, jewelry is not allowed to be worn in class. Dancers will be asked to remove jewelry and keep it in their dance bag if necessary.
