Registration for Fall 2019 classes begins Monday, March 18th, 2019 with re-enrollment of current students, and is divided into three tiers beginning in May. All registration will take place at Greenwich Dance Studio in Cos Cob.
*Please note that all registrations must be received in person. Fax and mailed copies are not accepted.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to provide updated and accurate information, which is especially crucial to our office when attempting to contact families during the registration process. Please take extra care in completing your forms to avoid error.

FIRST TIER | Current Students add/change classes; Current Student’s Sibling
Begins Wednesday, May 22, 2019 – Doors open at 6am
Current students are able to add or change classes; as well as siblings of current students.
SECOND TIER | Waitlisted from Fall 2018
Begins Tuesday, May 28th – Doors open at 6am
Students who were waitlisted for the 2018-19 session are eligible to register for classes. This includes adding new classes, changing days or times, or requesting different teachers. The previous waitlist is wiped clean and a new waiting list is created for the new dance season. Please request all classes desired for the new year.
THIRD TIER | New Students
Begins Thursday, May 30th – Doors open at 6am
Registration is open to the public. Your registration form must be completed in its entirety. The class name, day and time as well as participant’s personal information must be provided as requested.
THIRD TIER DISCLAIMER:
Typically, GDS classes fill up after First and Second Tier registration. However, submitting your forms in Third Tier puts your dancer on appropriate lists for the next available spaces in current classes. In addition it provides you with Second Tier status the following registration year.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Registrations will NOT be processed on the spot. However, every form will be dated and time-stamped so that GDS will be sure of the order in which they were received. Please anticipate a wait time due to the high volume of people, however, please know that having your form reviewed on the spot greatly benefits you and saves time in the long run.
If you are unsure of which level your child is, simply write the class name without the level. GDS will place your child in the appropriate level based on various factors specific to enrollment that year.

HOW TO PAY
It is most helpful to provide a credit card number when signing up for classes. Occasionally checks are written out for an incorrect amount and thus cannot be processed. This slows down the registration process considerably. Therefore, if possible, please provide a VISA or MASTERCARD. If you need to pay with a check please make it out to Greenwich Dance Studio or GDS.
Frequently, students are placed on waitlists because there is no room in the class of their choice. There is a benefit to being placed on a waitlist. In the chance that someone drops out of the class before it begins, or even while it is in session, we will call the next person on the waitlist to see if they would like to take the spot, provided it is within a reasonable start time in the year.
NOTE: Anticipated Spring performance date is Saturday, May 16, 2020. Please mark your calendars to avoid conflicts.
