HAIR + ACCESSORIES
Dancers must purchase their own dance bag and supplies. Be sure to label all belongings so that we can return them if they are ever left at the Studio!
HAIR REQUIREMENTS
All GDS classes require a high bun or high ponytail (hair tie, pins and a hairnet for Ballet). Dancers are expected to be fully prepared with their own supplies before entering class. GDS will not provide hair ties, pins, etc.. to any dancers who arrive without their hair supplies. A hair kit will need to be purchased from GDS for a fee.
BALLET
Hair must be pulled back in a neat high bun (at crown of head), complete with bobby pins and a hair net. Bun kits may be purchased at Beam & Barre, or separate hair supplies may be purchased at CVS or Walgreens.
JAZZ / HIP HOP / MODERN / LYRICAL / CONTEMPORARY
Hair must be pulled back in a neat high ponytail. Hair supplies may be purchased at CVS or Walgreens.
ACCESSORIES + ESSENTIALS
DANCE BAGS + ESSENTIALS
Please be sure to have a designated dance bag (anything works!) to pack shoes, hair supplies, water bottles, first aid, Advil etc…We are happy to help in an emergency, however, students are responsible to bring their own supplies to best be prepared for class each week.
WATER BOTTLES
Dancers, please bring your own water bottle to each class! We have a water fountain available at the Studio for refills, and be sure to label your bottles!
BALLET SWEATER WRAPS
Although dancers cannot wear sweatshirts to class, Wear Moi Carmen knitted wrap sweaters are acceptable for Ballet. They may be purchased at Beam & Barre, and must correspond with leotard colors.
NO JEWELRY
Bulky jewelry will not be allowed in class. Dancers will be asked to take it off and keep it in their dance bag if worn in the Studio.
